Save the date – June 2, 2018!

Grab your friends, family and coworkers and join us to walk, bike or run in the beautiful and historic Blackstone Valley. “It’s a Fun Day for a Great Cause!”

The Valley Friendship Tour is Alternatives’ signature fundraiser, and takes place in and around our headquarters, the Whitin Mill in Whitinsville, MA. For years, funds raised by the Tour have gone a long way in improving the lives of the people we serve. They allow us  purchase the furnishings and special equipment that enable individuals with disabilities to live in the community as independently as possible; find and train dedicated volunteers; and implement critical health and wellness initiatives.

THE ROUTES

Choose from one of three different noncompetitive routes – a 30 mile cycle through the scenic Blackstone Valley, a 5K walk/run “from Mill to Mill,” and a one mile stroll through downtown Whitinsville. No matter your age or athletic ability, there is something for everyone!

OUR FUND-SHARING PROGRAM

Are you part of a nonprofit organization or community group that’s looking to raise some money, but don’t have the resources to put together an event like the Valley Friendship Tour? We’ve got good news for you! There’s no need to recreate the wheel. We are happy to share funds raised at the Tour with you. Simply register a team and raise at least $1,250 in pledges. When you do, the first $625 goes to Alternatives’ programs for people with disabilities. Everything else goes to you and your cause!

For more information about the event, including opportunities to become a sponsor, contact Karen Goldenberg at [email protected] or (508) 234-6232.
