With the support of the Priscilla Mason Foundation and the Blackstone Valley National Heritage Corridor, Alternatives is working hard to showcase the cultural heritage of the Blackstone Valley.

But we need your help, too!

Lend us your historical photos, drawing, etchings and engravings of local mill life! We’re looking for images from the 1800’s on that depict the town of Whitinsville, the Whitin family and their companies.

Preserve your family heirlooms and our town’s history by taking part in this exciting project. All images will be returned to those who submit!

So send your images in today to Cristi Collari at Alternatives’ Whitin Mill, 50 Douglas Road, Whitinsville, MA. The deadline for materials is November 4.

And what, you may be wondering, is the final product?

A video and several informational panels that will be permanently placed at the Whitin Mill for guests to enjoy!
